09:30 Roundtable Discussion: Arguing the Benefits of Front End Loading (FEL) of Asset Integrity Aspects in Capital Projects

This roundtable will assess the benefits of front end loading of capital projects with asset integrity aspects during the project life cycle; starting from the project planning, concept selection, FEED (front end engineering and design) through to start-up and sustainable operations. The session will also give good insight about the considerations to be taken into account to upfront set strategies, future organization, competence requirements and contracts. Enabling organization to mitigate and manage safety and business risks in furtherance to Major Accident Hazards/Events (MAH/MAE); minimising future operating and maintenance costs, limiting downtime and meeting commercial commitments. This session will be 30 minutes whereby tables must choose 3 of their top challenges they have faced across various projects. There will be 20 minutes to discuss the themes and 10 minutes to evaluate and feedback.

  • The economy of operating and maintaining through competence and expenditures: Strategies to limit down time and ensure you are maximising ROI
